There's been a huge debate over Epublishing recently. What with mainstream publishers being more and more selective to the point of knocking back works they would have scooped up three years ago, it's become even harder to get published than ever before.
Many authors have turned instead to Epublishing, and in some cases have done so well that mainstream publishers have picked them up off the back of their Ebooks.
Other authors, however, still see Epublishing as the last gasp of a desperate author.
I'm sat firmly on the fence for the last couple of years, but with the latest novel almost but not quite being picked up by publishers, i've decided to start Epublishing my back catalogue, starting with the first crime novel that went out to publishers almost three years ago now.
I won't say too much more until the cat is firmly out of the bag, but watch this space and i'll let you know when i join the steadily growing ranks of Epublished authors...

Let me know if you want a hand with that.
ReplyDeleteBriliant idea :-)
ReplyDeleteYou got for it, my son! You have nothing to lose and (possibly) everything to gain. A lot of former nay-sayers seem to have changed their tune and decided to go into e-publishing. As one who once suggested that e-publishing might be the 'evolution' of legitimate book production it makes me smile to see them changing their tune, one by one!
ReplyDeleteGood luck, Paul - keep us posted!
I have to agree with Sue H, you have nothing to lose. If Epublishing raises your profile it can only be a good thing... Best wishes mate!
ReplyDeleteHiya mate,
ReplyDeleteIt's good for exposure, and the CV if it does okay. But the dream is still books on shelves...
Best,
Col
